Stoic, Stubborn, yet passionate. The dwarves are a collection of short statured peoples who have inhabited the lands of Estellon for nearly as long as the elves and humans. The dwarves races invest themselves in all tasks. Be it meticulously, or crudely and disorderly, their conviction and pride. They’re a family centric peoples, more so than even humans. Thus, it is rare to encounter a dwarf who strays far from his or her roots. However, that does not stop them from selfishly coveting treasures for themselves. Nor do they lack ambition to improve one’s own standings. But for most dwarves, the clan comes first. 

 

As physiologically stable creatures, Dwarves have a certain psychological instinct to keep their feet on stable ground as much as possible. Although not inherent in all dwarves, a fear of heights, boat travel and water, rickety bridges, or even creaky floorboards on second story human dwellings is unfortunately a common phobia among their race. And as such, most dwarves races have a tendency to prefer a home under the ground. Then again,  at least two racial offshoots of the dwarves prove that not all dwarves are as inclined to subterranean life styles as they may have once thought. For the sea dwarves prefer the rocking of the ocean beneath them. And the root dwarves famously prefer life in the trees.
