I've always find it a little funny how often I've been asked if I larp at anime cons, and the answer to that was, until recently, "Yes, I got dragged out by my D&D buddies to an event once way back when I was a poor college student who could barely afford to go, so I didn't have any of the gear you see now. All I had was a baggy T-shirt, and a belt tied around it so I could pretend it was a tunic, and a dag weapon I had made for the Hocking College Daghir club. Liked it, would love to get back into it, but couldn't find out where to go to keep doing it." And well, my brother Geoff started going to larp recently. (He was going back in the spring, but the whole brain surgery thing happened, so he had to stay out of it, but he's back in the scene again.) And where as most of the time I was either too busy or too poor to go with him, I did lend him my arsenal of larp weapons I had for my Con-Quest gear. And of course when he joined the Con-Questers, we made some improvements upon his rogue outfit. Then I started to think "Hey, I already have my D&D character cosplay outfit. Might as well tag along next time!" Well, of course that was the one week that my work decided to say "I know we almost never do this, but you guys are going to work a mandatory Saturday this weekend."

So... I waited a little longer. Working on finishing my character's backstory and adapting it to fit the larp's world lore. Con-Questing was always something I did to make conventions about interacting with people again. And to stay consistent with that, I needed my character to have a reason to talk to other adventurers, kinda butting into their business. So I changed my character from being simply 'that adventurer guy at anime cons who takes quests from people' to 'A chronicler of current events for the Curious Crow Currier.' And of course most of the stuff in his backstory stayed consistent. He still has that fear of fairies, Madam Duval still has his eye, and he is still a former bandit. This provided me a chance to really flesh all that out more.

In any case, I am making my character backstory public for any PCs who have similar themes in their stories, and wants to collaborate, and jot down his chronicled notes so you could see the plot from his eyes. This is for both players, or anyone who wants to follow the well written plots that Lore Larp laid out for players to stumble into. And if you want to know where you could get involved, just look up Lore Larp on facebook, or visit their website at: https://lorelarp.net/
